Ucch, crooked picture. I'll learn to trust the bubble-gauges on the tripod from now on. |

Focusing in on the business apartments on Excelsior Boulevard, across Lake Calhoun and the boats moored there. |

High-rise apartments/offices, and another boat. |

Excelsior stretches eastward to smaller businesses and apartment buildings, on the left, before it leads into the golf course. |

A shot of the pier, a popular late-night hangout for people of all ages. |

Tried to get a picture of the boats but the momentary light source went away. That streak is a car that came out of nowhere, though. |

A shot of the Excelsior business district, from the nearest end of the aforementioned pier. |

See that tiny illuminated windsurf thing in the center? That's the executive complex by the Strip of Dishonor, where drivers race through the driving lot to cut in front of people cutting in from the right lane. |

One lone sailboat; picture taken from mid-pier. |

An apartment house on the corner of Calhoun Parkway just before it turns off into Lake St. |

One of my favorite pictures! The moon hung so big and bright, and the tree was underlit by oncoming traffic from Excelsior. |

Another shot of the moon with low-light setting, as I was entranced by the movement of clouds around it. |

A fuller view of the neighborhood at large, and the moon slips momentarily behind cloud cover. |

Another apartment house on Lake Street. I just like the older architecture out in this part of town. |

Urban Retreat. My friend Dawn revolutionized their business practices and brought them out of near-ruin; as a reward, they fired her and kept the profits. |

The bistro Barbette (formerly Cafe Wyrd); more accurately, the diners on the side of the building. Low-light setting makes it festive. |

Another attractive architectural mutt; Uptown has those lights in the trees almost everywhere, all year 'round. |

Lund's (where I stumbled around in drunken reverie); eastbound on Lake St. from Excelsior Blvd.; Wells Fargo in the Sons of Norway building. |

Same shot as previous, just a little tighter and angled to receive more light. I don't know why that works, but it does. |

Ragstock! Used to have really cool used and surplus clothing, and they still do... just in the back, behind all the crappy new vinyl disco/raver crap. |

Kids hang out in a certain parking lot on the east bank of Lake Calhoun to show off their tricked-out cars; this is an ad for a formal judging competition. (It looks like that woman's breast is going to crush the hood of the SUV. I'm as transparent as cellophane.) |

The thumbnail is actually an enlarged image of the moon; the large version is largely featureless and unintersting. My camera can't focus on it, of course, but I do love pictures of the moon. |
