Walking Around Uptown - 01SEPT03

I dunno, I just happened to have my new camera and was in the mood to take a bunch of random pictures. Also I was going to meet some friends at the CC Club, but it turns out they went there the night before. My mistake.

As the sun goes down I snatch a shot of the corner of Franklin and Hennepin, from the east side of the intersection.

The sun has really gone down by the time I get this picture of downhill leading to Franklin and Lyndale.

...And then I discover that my camera as a low-light/long-exposure feature! Whoa!

Elated with the discovery, I took a shot looking south down Aldrich Avenue!

And another shot of some large brick building across the street from me! Whatever!

Here, I took a picture of that famous co-op, the Wedge, with the long-exposure setting and only handheld. It turned out great.

For some reason it didn't come out as good when I rested the camera on a handrail: a clearer but somehow darker picture. How strange. (This one actually does link to a much larger picture, unlike every other shot on this page.)

Jarrin was kind enough to answer my call and meet me at CC Club. I'm still playing with the low-light feature.

Thought I'd point the low-light camera at Christel too. She endured it good-naturedly enough. I just really like the effect.
